Mike, (Julia’s husband) qualified as a Dentist from Leeds Dental School in 1991 and went straight into general practice in Bradford where he picked up much experience, and started with a special interest in Prosthetics (making dentures), and treating the elderly & infirm at home.

After a spell also working as an associate dentist in Halifax he took a break from dental practice to work in the commercial dental industry, working briefly as a training/technical consultant for an international dental materials company & moving on to work with a leading UK dental software company for several years.

Shortly after Julia took over the practice in 1999 Mike was enticed back into general practice, picking up where he left off with his special interest in Prosthetics (dentures) and home visits. (Please note we no longer provide home visit services)

In 2001 he also completed the regional postgraduate training course in ‘Fixed Orthodontics’, whilst working at the practice and Scarborough hospital straightening teeth. He continued in the hospital post for 6 years until recently.

Mike is going to be taking a break from clinical practice in the immediate future to pursue other aspects of the business, and his other interests. His patients will be transferred to Helen Evans.
